PROF. ANOKYE MOHAMMED ADAM

Professor Anokye Mohammed Adam is a distinguished scholar of Finance with an international reputation for excellence. He has years of experience as an educator, with more than fourteen years at the University of Cape Coast teaching Finance related courses and analytical procedures. He is a member of the Chartered Management and Business Educator, UK, known for his results-oriented approach, commitment, and exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

Prof. Adam's educational background is extensive, holding two PhDs: one in Applied Mathematics from the University of Venda and another in Business Administration (Finance) from Open University Malaysia. Additionally, he has earned an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester, an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast, and a BSc in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His professional qualifications include a Teachers' Certificate, a Certificate in Project Management, a Professional Certificate in Online Teaching, and a Diploma in Management of Higher Education Institutes.

His strong background in finance, mathematics, and education has deepened his business and entrepreneurial abilities. He has taught various finance courses, including Financial Management, Financial Markets and Institutions, International Finance, and Financial Modelling. His teaching is enriched by his extensive research in financial markets in Ghana and across Africa, contributing to a deeper understanding of the region's financial systems.In recognition of his contributions to research, Prof. Adam won the second prize for his contribution to research volume at the University of Cape Coast. This accolade underscores his dedication to advancing knowledge in his field and his significant impact on academic research.

Currently, Prof. Adam serves as the Provost of the College of Distance Education (CODE) at the University of Cape Coast. Previously, he led the Department of Business Programmes, the Department of Finance at the School of Business, and the Department of Business Studies at CODE. In these roles, he provided leadership for academic, financial, and administrative operations, driving change and fostering harmony within the departments.

Prof. Adam is committed to research, teaching, and outreach, evidenced by his participation in numerous workshops and conferences worldwide. He has over 100 publications and has developed several distance learning modules. His expertise has been recognized through roles as a resource person, facilitator, and participant in various training workshops, such as those sponsored by DAAD and the International Labour Organization. He also serves as an editor for the Journal of Business and Enterprise Development and a reviewer for over 50 peer-reviewed journals.

Throughout his career, Prof. Adam has been an academic mentor to many young scholars and has held significant positions on numerous statutory boards and committees at the University of Cape Coast, such as the Academic Board, Procurement Advisory Committee, and the College of Distance Education Strategic Planning Committee. He has also served as an external examiner for various institutions domestically and internationally, highlighting his extensive influence and contribution to higher education. His comprehensive experience in financial markets, combined with his academic and leadership roles, underscores his profound impact on the educational and financial sectors in Ghana and beyond.
