He holds a Bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Garden City University Collage and HND in Accounting from Sunyani Technical University. he rose through the ranks from a Susu Monitor to Cheque Clearing Officer to Operations Officer and currently a Branch Manager.
He holds a Bachelor of science degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana UG. Prior to joining the bank, Mr Ankapong worked as a Credit Officer and later as acting Branch Manager at Adansi Rural Bank.

He holds a Master in Business Administration in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior (University of Education Winneba), Chartered Financial and Investment Analyst as well as Professional Certificate in Project Management from the Graduate School of Governance and Leadership (GSGL). A devout Christian, Steward and training counselor with the Methodist Church ,Ghana . He is Currently the Branch Manager of the Tetrem Branch of Okomfo Anokye Rural Bank Limited
